We rely entirely on monetary donations to fund this initiative. We offer sign pickup from our Pop-Ups, as well as local deliveries.
We rely exclusively on donations to fund the giveaway and Seek St. Pete challenges, which include offering winners books from our Library or gift cards to local Black and Indigenous businesses.
Library books have been generously donated by local folx, organizations, and bookstores. We have also used donated funds to purchase books from Cultured Books, a local Black woman owned kids bookstore.
Duties would include contacting book borrowers after their rental period ends, following up with them as needed, and scheduling their method of return.
Must be able to manage numerous contacts at once and keep organized track of books, borrowers, return dates, and return method.
This can be a virtual position and requires a couple hours a month corresponding with renters and keeping us up-to-date. Optional if you would like to do local book pick ups yourself.
Want to engage your patrons, clients, customers, parishioners, etc. in anti-racism work? Want to publicly align yourself with the movement?
We’re looking for additional locations, businesses, non-profits, worship institutions, educational facilities, rec centers, routine events, neighborhood meetings, etc. around St. Pete to table at for a couple hours once a month on a set schedule.
We’re also looking for one time events, markets, and festivals to table at occasionally.
We love hearing new ways to bring our community together for the cause and working behind the scenes to flank other organizations and businesses that are doing the ground work towards equity and equality.
